Event: The International Association for the Study of Forced Migration – IASFM’19 Conference
When: August 1-5, 2022.
Where: Universidade Catolica de Santos, Santos, São Paulo
We participated in the 19th International Association for the Study of Forced Migration Conference’s first online art exhibition to present our design collective work and raise awareness of “Missing Migrants” stories.
The International Association for the Study of Forced Migration (IASFM) brings together academics, practitioners, and policymakers concerned with forced migration. Throughout history, states and humanitarians have been concerned about the forced movement of people displaced within their own countries or across borders. Whether forced to migrate due to persecution, fleeing war, escaping famine, or due to a significant development project, people require protection and/or assistance.
The online art exhibition is an initiative that IASFM hopes to expand and make a regular part of its programming. The IASFM19 exhibition on forced migration featured powerful and thought-provoking works.
